OK, in the last week I’ve gotten a TON of questions about Product Launch Formula… and I’ve been doing my best to answer them over on the blog and in my emails - but I thought I would just sit down and shoot a quick video where I went through the top questions… here it is:

Hey Jeff -
I love how you are teaching us about product launching as you launch your own product. You truly walk the talk. Just about salivating to know how much the course costs.
Thanks Jeff… this was an excellent starting point to answer a lot of questions that I’ve had. Hoping to get in on the new Product Launch Formula Blueprint Program.
Are you offering a deal to current PLF users?
[[ COMMENT FROM JEFF: Yes… I always take care of my PLF Owners. Current registered PLF 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 Owners get an automatic FREE upgrade. You should have received an email about this yesterday.
PLF version 1 Owners get an really amazing upgrade deal… you a credit for MORE than you originally spent on PLF.
I’ve made so much money over the past couple of years just following the same strategies I’ve seen in successful product launches. I’m really looking forward to your program.
Great video!! I mentioned earlier I’m somewhat new to online marketing, but I do know and understand auto responders, squeeze pages, dabbled with some ppc in the past. I’m interested in your program, however is there another program you recommend on list building, sales copy etc etc??
When building your list what is the best service ? I use aweber at present ?
[[ COMMENT FROM JEFF: I really love aweber… in fact, I like it so much that I paid them a bunch of money to create my own “private label” version - it’s called ProFollow.com - you basically get the exact same service as aweber, with all the same features… but you get my version of it. ]]
We enjoyed your presentation at that Info Summit and are interested in purchasing your product. You mentioned that the course will last longer than 45 days. We are planning a product launch on January 10, 2009. Will we be far enough along in the course to hit our deadline?
[[ COMMENT FROM JEFF: You should be far enough along. However, you might end up learning enough that you end up moving the date out… one of the things I teach is that you need to launch when the launch is ready, not launch around an arbitrary date. Not knowing anything about your launch, you might have a really solid reason that you NEED to launch Jan 10, but often there is flexibility. ]]
I have a product I launched a month ago. It’s a subscription service - the Massage Technique Library at http://www.abundanthealth.com. Will the product launch formula be of benefit to me since I already launched my product?
[[ COMMENT FROM JEFF: Yes… PLF works just as well for relaunches, and for products that are already on the market. ]]
Thanks for the videos Jeff. Since social proof is an important part of the PLF won’t the FTC regulations pretty much remove the social proof benefit. How effective with PLF be without being able to use social proof.
I sent a special request to your office in the form of a letter as well as an email over a week ago. I was wondering if you had a chance to read it. Im eagerly awaiting a response. You can email me back or call. Please let me know.
My primary concern with this product is that your marketing is and has been heavily based on good, successful “case studies.” I’m fairly sure the FTC would call your case studies “testimonials.” As such, the way you are marketing–even this program–will not be likely to comply with the new guidelines. Will you cover how marketing will have to change to meet the guidelines and show us how we can be sure it will work? And, will you do that before the guarantee deadline has passed?
I realize that you are in a Catch-22 situation. You’ve based your system on one way of marketing. That way is no longer allowed. You haven’t operated in the new system, so you can’t show us how the new system will work–and the new rules won’t let you use “case studies” unless you can show what the “typical” results are. (I’m not sure if that is a double or triple bind!)
I’m sure you have a lot to offer, but I’m not sure if I want this or the next version. Will you guarantee a free upgrade to the next version of PLF?
Thanks for your patience with all the questions. In this economy, $1997 is a lot of money.
[[ COMMENT FROM JEFF: Actually, I don’t think there’s any Catch 22. Using Case Studies is how I’ve marketed Product Launch Formula… but it’s not the essence of PLF.
In fact, it’s only one small tactic from PLF. There are LOTS of tactics and STRATEGIES in PLF - in fact, in the first version of PLF there was no mention at all of Case Studies.
There have been LOTS of launches without any Case Studies (for example, my recent launch of the Product Launch Manager $25,000 live event.)
The reality is that once the FTC guidelines take affect, then I think that PLF will be even MORE effective. PLF has always been about creating conversation and dialog with your intended market… and I think that as the marketing landscape changes, then dialog and relationship become more important.
With regards to the next version of PLF… well that is not even on the drawing board or even being considered. One thing at a time. Part of the 2.3+ update will be working with the new guidelines.
In terms of an upgrade… again, I haven’t even begun thinking about the next PLF release… so I’m definitely not ready to publish any type of upgrade policy. However, if you look at my track record then you’ll see how I take care of my PLF Owners… for instance, all 2.1 and 2.2 and 2.3 PLF Owners get an automatic free upgrade to 2.3+.
And the orginal PLF version 1 Owners got a 150% credit on the money they spent when they upgraded to any version of PLF2.
And all PLF Owners got a DOUBLE credit for the money they spent if they wanted to upgrade to Product Launch Manager.
I try not to brag, but the bottom line is I think you’ll look long and hard to find anyone who takes better care of his current customers. ]]
Do you think if a novelist were to self publish
a book with Amazon — or online from her own website — in audio format as well — that
a book launch would make that book as successful as if it was published by Random House?
I am not thinking of this because I don’t believe my stories are good enough, but because after studying marketing, I realize I can probably make more money doing it myself if I position things right, and I don’t have to compete with the latest celebrity autobiographies.
I am aware your great system works. Thanks for making it available again.
Thank you,
Arlene
I’ll be on the Mike F’s Marketers Cruise and off road racing with Yanik and Maverick Business Adventures in January. Over 14 days out of the communication loop. Will this be a problem on keeping up with your weekly live instruction. Hate to miss the live stuff.
In case anyone is on the fence about PLF 2.3 I recommend you get off it and buy this product. If you follow the system you will be all kinds of successful.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I am a Jeff Walker trained PLM and I am in his Platinum Mastermind group so I can offer great insight if you have any questions. It is in my opinion the best IM product on the market. Hey I think this testimonial is within the FTC guidelines
The content has been wonderful and I just hope I can remember and use it. Since you were honest enough to say that this is not for total newbies, I am going to pass this time round and hope that by the next time it comes around I will know enough to make real use of what you are offering. Right now I suspect it would just be frustrating for us both.
That said, you have freely given so many ideas and so much help I expect that my project will have some success at least. Thank you.
Hi Jeff & all,
I “bought” PLF this time last yr, as a newbie, just as the bottom fell out of my world.
Jeff gave me a full refund on the amt I’d paid, no questions asked & even the lady at his office inquired as to me & my family’s health & situation.
I feel like I “owe” him…that darn reciprocity again!
Anyways, it is not just an advanced course & anyone with a long term career in mind should buy it, as it is a complete all round system you will use daily, monthly & forever.
I have kept an online interest in between dramas this yr & have not found anything that comes close to it.
Frank Kern even said he uses 20% of it in his course & look what he does!
It’s a perfect biz model, a complete Marketing course with great human nature marketing insights you can use on & off line & I can’t wait to get going again on it.
I am hoping by the New Year as moving 3 times this past 12 months, becoming carer to my sister, a gran again 3 months ago have slowed me down a tad, but as things are settling down now, I’m hot on his heels!
I hope the launch goes great Jeff.
Kindest Regards,
Mary/Poppie
[[ COMMENT FROM JEFF: thanks for your note Mary… I think we have the best customer service people in the business - and your note just drives that point home. ]]
Hey Jeff, I love what you are doing with plf. While I want to tae advatage for myself and my clients, i think that i will have to wate for th next launtch so that I can make sure tht I have the funds enough for it. However, I have done my best to use your free content to launch a product for my client, and plan to do the same in other markets for other clients. Thanks for everything that you do.
PS,
If you had to naow down plf in to one idea that we could walk away with, to aply to our own projects, or the projuects of others, what would it be, an how wold you put it in to action? Thanks.
I was one of the 50 IMs Jeff trained in LA. And I kid you not by saying that whatever Jeff is charging for PLF this time round - it’s easily worth double. I certainly would have paid double what I paid in LA. One of the reasons for this is that (as you’ll see for yourself) is that the PL strategy can be used to solve all kinds of challenges in your business - building your list, attracting affiliates and JVs, even creating products. Oh yeah, you sell stuff with it too… I used to guarantee clients a 1% conversion rate with my marketing…now with PLF I guarantee 10%. And no, I’m not getting anything by saying any of this. Jeff and I haven’t spoken since the training in LA (I bought him a scotch and told him about how my cat died before coming to LA…he’s family guy so I knew he would understand). But here’s the thing you should know about PLF, in my humble opinion. It’s not magic! You have to dig in there and apply the strategies. But certainly they work - not because Jeff is genius or anything but because he’s the one guy who been able to take all the proven strategies and triggers that make people buy and apply them to online world. Take this to heart: selling online is not about persuasion anymore as much as it is about CONNECTING…and PLF connects you with your prospects like no other system.
Hey Jeff, I’m in the process of launching a site providing video content I’m creating for soccer moms. I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth signing to PLF considering that right now, I don’t actually have a specific “product” per say to launch - I’ve rather got my site and first round of content - which is the launch.
Once I get some traction on my site and understand more about what my market want, I was going to create paid for video content. That I would also hopefully apply your teachings too
Do you think I would still benefit from your course at this point of my project?
[[ COMMENT FROM JEFF: considering that one of the Case Studies that I published was Neil over in the UK using PLF for their membership site that taught soccer moms and dads how to coach their kids, well it seems like a slam dunk. ]]
oh - and another question - is it still worth signing up at this stage if my site isn’t even ready yet? I’m still in stealth mode getting my content ready - probably about 2 - 3 months of actually going live….
please let me know
[[ COMMENT FROM JEFF: I think that if you’re 2-3 months out, this is probably the perfect time to be getting onboard Product Launch Formula. That might sound self-serving, but the reality is it’s better if you get PLF earlier on during the process, because you’ll end up using PLF to fine tune your site. ]]

Jeff,
The way you have promoted this PLF version, would this be an example of how to launch a product? Probably a Yes.
Also, would this be a course online.
Enjoyed learning.
Thanks,
