Three “mini” Case Studies…

By Jeff Walker

[[ NOTE FROM JEFF WALKER: due to the
new FTC guidelines on testimonials that took
affect on 12/01/2009, I’ve had to remove the
Case Studies from this page until we get
further clarification on the new FTC
guidelines.]]

I thought I would share some “mini Case Studies” with you…

This first one is with Neil Stafford, who’s niche is teaching parents how to teach their kids to play soccer better at JuniorSoccerCoach.com. Their launch did almost $xx selling a low-priced instructional DVD. Watch this video to find out how Neil did it:

And in this one Chuck Smith did a product launch for a low-priced product in the “quilting” niche - it did approximately $xx, and then he followed that up almost immediately with another $xx launch.

And here’s one is with Kyle Battis, who did a launch of a $10 per month membership site in the “personal fitness” niche. The launch generated a continuity income of $xx per MONTH. Check out this video to get the details:

That should get you started… but keep an eye out for a bunch more Case Studies that I’m going to be sending you this week…

    Jeff:

I have realized that all of the case studies are in video form. Unfortunately, I am quite occupied with other issues at this time, and don’t have the necessary time to watch them now.

If I keep the links, will they be available beyond Dec. 1? If so, for how long?

Is it possible to just download the video file for future reference?

    Thanks

    Bob,
I just downloaded all three of them, so yes. I would prefer PDFs to read, myself, but everybody seems to be all hot about video right now, so…

The biggest challenge that faces many people is how to get a list in the first place - especially when they dont have any funds to invest?

You can write bloggs, netowrk on social network sites, forums etc - that takes a long time to build the trust though and relationships - so many people end up giving up before they make a list of 2-300 as they run out of funds and have to go back to a humdrum job?? what advice would you give to them?

word of mouth is great and builds almost instantaneous trust but again takes time to do.

free gifts on a website are great as well - once again the question I keep getting is - how do I get peopel to my website to sign up to my list - I dont have any funds

these are the questions I get asked so so many times by people that have great ideas, great products ut no contacts to move forward with?

    Carol

    Jeff,
It seems that if you don’t have your own list, you probably need to joint venture with someone who does have a good list in your field. But how do you convince that person to jv with you if you’re pretty much an “unknown”? Also–what’s the next best way to go if you can’t find a good jv?
    Thanks

    Two thoughts:

    (1) Ask.

    (2) Make it worth the other person’s while to say yes.

I’ve been a guest blogger several times by just asking and I am a nobody out there.

Third thought: Carrie Wilkerson did an online conference when she was a nobody by putting together a page with all the speakers she wanted then contacting each of them, and sending a link. I believe they all said yes.

Also — I forget the name of the person who came up with AFFORMATIONS — but it is a really clever idea-generating tool. Here;s how you do can it:

Grab a pen. Ask yourself “How did I launch my product so incredibly successfully?” And just start writing, move your pen and don’t stop. You will be surprised what great stuff comes out that our conscious minds block with doubt and uncertainty.

There’s a lot more — google “afformations” if you want to learn more about this great technique.

Well, I’m with Heather on the videos… I’d rather have a pdf also. I can read them at my own convenience, print them off and take with me, etc. Videos must be watched while you’re sitting at the computer. However, that said, I understand the issue is often convenience for the producer/publisher of the content. While video may seem popular, that “popularity” may have been created by video proponents. The thing is, it’s so much easier! A pdf requires transcription services (not cheap). So if someone is giving their stuff away, and its original format is audio or video, it’s easier to leave it that way. I would, too… especially if I couldn’t afford the time or money to make it into a pdf.

And Carol, I used to recommend giveaways for list building. I’ve collected my lists over time the fastest with giveaway events. However, these events aren’t what they used to be. It’s MUCH harder to get a list with them now. You have to have a list already just to be eligible to get into them. Sheesh! IMO, that cancels out the whole reason for a giveaway.

And Susan has some of the best advice. It all goes to mindset, which is key to our success. However, you’ll find more by searching on AFFIRMATIONS… not affOrmations, which isn’t a word.

Anyway, I am just listening to Jeff’s videos tonight while I do other things, since the files are too large for me to download on my system (satellite… bandwidth caps, etc.).

Thanks for the info-dump, Jeff. Really cool of you to do it!

[[ COMMENT FROM JEFF: There’s another issue with regards to transcripts and downloadable videos… I’m currently on vacation. I have limited access to the raw files - they’re at home on my primary media machine. ]]
